What to Expect

Dress is very casual and informal where jeans and t-shirts are the norm. We are much more concerned about what's going on inside of a person than what they are wearing on the outside.

Our music is guitars and bass driven with great modern music and some old time hymns mixed in for an all around worship time.

The message is biblically based and relevant for issues we face in the world around us today. Our teachings will provide you with the biblical knowledge to deal with issues you are facing in your life. We grow deeper in our relationship with God when we worshipfully surrender to Christ in all thoughts, actions, possessions, time, talent, finances, and relationships.

Typical Sunday Mornings at Laurel Church:

  • 9:00 am - 11:15 am Nursery Ages 0-4
For parents and/or grandparents who wish to avail themselves of this ministry, our nursery is a nurturing, fun, safe, and clean environment for their children; ages infant through 4 years old. Using a “check-in and check-out” protocol, and a wireless remote call system, parents can be sure of never being out of touch with the needs of their child.

  • 9:00 am - Discipleship Classes:
The Bible is the central focus of our study here at Laurel Church. During Discipleship Classes, students from Preschool through Adult gather in age appropriate classes to learn the unfolding story of God’s love as told through the pages of Scripture. Laurel Church uses “Answers in Genesis Curriculum” as the basis for our study. Over a three year cycle the study moves from the beginning to the end of the Bible with age appropriate materials for each class level. Parents and their children are urged to discuss what they learned from the same Bible lesson for each class so that the family can grow in their faith together. • 10:00 am - Sunday Worship Service
Upbeat Music, Casual Dress, and Bible-Centered Messages.

  • 10:15 am - Children’s Church  (Optional)
During the Pastor’s message, children, K-5th grade, are invited to the  church's  fellowship hall to participate in a time of learning about God’s love for them in an age appropriate environment of love and fun.

  • 11:15 am - Sermon Based Group
There is little preparation required for this group. Each week the members and visitors gather in the church Fellowship Hall on “neutral territory” to hear and learn from one another using the Pastor’s morning message as the basis for their discussion. There is no such thing as a bad question or comment. People are encouraged to question issues of faith and living as followers of Jesus. It’s fun, uplifting and a place to meet new people and experience more personally, Laurel Church.
